Trick or Treating in our neighborhood is always so much fun to go all together. As always it was nice and muggy. But because daylight savings was so late this yr we were done and in the house by 6:30 and it was even still light outside. I was happy, but the kids were bummed they didn't get to use their glow sticks.
Sydney made a beautiful Belle this year.
Bryce made an Awesome Woody
And Leah made an enchanting Rapunzel.
I was trying to be a scarecrow, but am not sure I pulled it off,
it was last min. Steve was his famous cowboy
with his handle bar mustache, and
Katelyn was the cutest clown ever.
Here is the gang!!
She left the nose on for about 5 sec. just for the pic. Thanks girlie.
I decided to make the kids costumes this year, it might be the last too. WOW it was a lot of work. I started at the beginning of Oct. and was sewing right up until the end. Steve helped with Bryce's costume a bit, but I did the rest. My mom was here for part of it and that is why I was able to complete all of them on time. Thanks mom! You saved me. With her help we whipped up Sydney's dress and Bryce's vest in about 2 days. Leah's took a little more time and I hope to enter it into a halloween costume sewing contest. All in all, I enjoyed creating something from nothing. It is a good feeling, and I think the kids truly loved them.
kandie, they look AMAZING! you are incredibly talented. i am so bummed that i wasn't able to see them in person! I'm sure the girls will love to play dress up with the dresses and they will be used for years to come. ellie said she wished she could have been jesse to go right along side of bryce :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting those, I was wondering how they turned out. The dresses are lovely! You did a wonderful job, and the little woody costume is soo soo cute. I bet you could sell them all for a pretty penny if you wanted to, but I doubt your kids would let you!
