A cold front came in and was going to freeze the tomatoes so we had to bring them in. They just aren't as good if not ripened on the vine. :(
If you want something you gotta do it yourself!!
Grandpa and Grandma came for a visit. Never a dull moment when Grandma and Grandpa will play and play and play with you. They go home exhausted I'm sure, and my kids are left wondering why I'm such a boring mom. We all love when they come. I really do have the BEST in-laws in the world. I feel so fortunate to have another set of parents that are so kind and wonderful. My mother in law is so good to always help with dinner, the kids or what ever needs to happen, and my father in law is always offering to do the dishes or give me a break somehow. They are so sweet and I'm glad I get to call them "mom" and "dad".
For some fun during their visit we went to a cider mill, corn maze, pumpkin patch, the farm, celebrated Bryce's birthday and drove around looking at the beautifully colored leaves in the area. We are so grateful we get to see the leaves changing this year. Nature is Amazing!
This is a picture of my "STRONG GIRL" She hates the spicy toothpaste so we tell her to be "strong" and this is her "strong" pose.
We read the 1st harry potter book together as a family, so we let the older kids stay up one night and watch the first movie. We had a whole night of fun. The missionaries ate with us that night and we made monster cupcakes, then they left, and steve became dumbledore and the kids tried on the "sorting hat" and we made some tasty butter beer to enjoy during the movie. It was a fun evening.
This picture cracks me up. Sydney insists that she wasn't scared during the movie, but that is her under the blanket next to Steve. HA HA.... we love her to pieces... and love to tease her.
We ran a 5K as a family. The girls did amazing and so did Steve because well....he ran maybe once before the race. The girls ran every day after school for 2 weeks up until the race. I really enjoyed watching our family accomplish this together. We will definitely do it again.
Sydney's 4th Grade teacher, Mrs. Fitzsimmons AKA "Mrs. Fitz" It was a city race, but we signed up and trained as an elementary. So we all wore the elementary t-shirts.
The most vibrant colored tree of the season. It was amazing!
Happy Birthday to my BOY!!
5 Years old
Getting a little breakfast in bed.
I think his favorite gift of the day was the carved deer sling shot he got from G-pa and G-ma. We have strict rules about what goes in that sling shot.....things like marshmallows, and socks. We'll see how long it is before it's taken away:)
The farm.........feeding baby goats by bottle is our favorite.
We went to the zoo with some of bryce's little friends on his birthday. It was a perfect day for a kid!
