Lake of the Ozarks Sept. 2012

We took a mini vacation to Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri last September with my parents "Papa and Honey" as my kids call them.  We totally got rained out, which was such a bummer not to get out on the lake boating and skiing, but we had some fun anyways.  We spent a lot of time in our condo playing cards, watching movies, and talking.   And when there was a break in the down pour we exercised in the weight room, played pingpong and pool, swam in not so warm pool, the kids jumped off the dock and swam in the lake, and of course.......... fished!!

We ended up having a fabulous time of course because hey.....
LIFE IS FUN!!

I love these 4 little rug rats of mine, and I love going on vacation with them.  I love letting loose and spoiling them, because they are such great people!!

My mom is one of my favorite people in the world to hang out with.  She loves to party and we love to party with her.  We look and act so much a like sometimes it's scary!  My poor sisters and brothers, they grew up with 2 moms....(no one should have that!)  We are great friends and my favorite thing is to shop with her, she is a great shopper and can find the greatest deals.  Great minds think alike!
I love my twinner for a MOM! (In college we won the mother/daughter look alike contest.) :)

Sydney taught herself how to do a back flip into the pool.  She gets all of her abilities/nerves from her Dad, because I have no desire what so ever to even attempt that.  But she is a ROCK STAR and is always trying new things, and amazing us.

My Dad is so awsome too!! Did I mention I love my parents!! He was always my #1 fan growing up. Every Child Should Have That!!  I get my tender side from him, he can always make me cry by the nice things he says to me.  He is the other life of the party, next to my mom and together they are one fun couple!! My favorite thing about my Dad is his ability to make anyone feel comfortable.  Everyone is welcome in his home. "Mi casa es su casa, (just don't ask me to serve you)" is his motto.  :)

 VERY STORMY WEEKEND

My Man doing what he does best.

These 2 could do this all day! Sometimes I have to pry their fingers off their poles.

While the boys enjoyed fishing the girls decided to have a contest to see who could jump the highest into the water.  My job was to take a pic as proof of who won.  Here are just a few of shots I got.  They were being so silly and cute with each other.  GOOD TIMES!

This is how we ended our cold wet day on the lake.
With a nice warm BUBBLE BATH.  What could be better really?

We had fun, made memories, and got home safe!
Mission accomplished!
