4th of July 2011

We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July this yr. It has always been one of my favorite holidays. It evokes such good emotions thinking about our country's beginnings, and the blessing it is living in such a free, wonderful place. I am proud to be an AMERICAN!!

2 days before we enjoyed a ward BBQ with games for the kids complete with pie eating contest, bike parade, and sparklers, and then a great performance of fireworks that night by the city. Here are a few pics from that evening......

On the 4th we sat and watched our small city's parade, which I believe only had maybe 3 floats. I was very disappointed, it was mostly cars and trucks with a few decorations handing out flyers. We did get a ton of candy though, the kids were excited about that.

I thought this picture displayed pure childhood joy....

Later that evening enjoying another BBQ with some friends and as always holidays aren't complete without our blessed missionaries. WE LOVE THEM!!

Here are the pyros waiting patiently for the go ahead...

GOOD TIMES.....GOOD TIMES!!
