Zipadee-ay and Heigh-dee-ho.......

We'll sing a song that we all know...HaPpY BiRtHdAy to you!!

Our first daughter turns 8
She got the American Girl Felicity Doll for Christmas,
so for her b-day she loved her new set of books to accompany the doll.
She is definitely my book worm.

She decides to have a PaJaMa PaRtY!!
Complete with a pillow fight, decorate pillow cases,
fingernail painting, and pizza.

She loves penguins!!
Every other yr at their "friends" party I let them choose how
to decorate the cake. They start deciding a yr in advance.
The girls that came were so mellow and easy going,
it was such a great stress free party.

LEAH TURNS 6
Our 2nd daughter turns 6,
she shares a birthday with Dr. Suess,
breakfast in bed is of course... GREEN EGGS and HAM.

good morning kiddies...
We have a tradition that they get their own box
of cereal for their b-days.
It is a FAVORITE!!
Froot loops was the cereal of choice this yr.

Her 1st cake is butterfly good!
Steve worked late that night and I was feeling bad we didn't
get to really celebrate so the lucky duck got two cakes.

The Dr. Suess Party...begins!!
Fox in sox relay race. The kids put on big socks and a big t-shirt.
It was seriously so funny to see the socks flopping around.

Pin the HAt on the CAT

Present time!!
Heavy, heavy hang over thy poor head.
What do you wish with a bump on the head.

We do this at all their parties,
the kids think I'm crazy...
but it helps take up time until mom's come to pick up.
(is that bad that I just admitted that?)

"Cat in the Hat" CAKE!!
I enjoy making the kids cakes.
Sometimes it's hard to devour them
when I take so much time to make them
We also played Star belly sneech cake walk,
Horton hears a who (telephone)
and the cat in the hat says (simon says)
We had about 15 crazy 5 and 6 yr olds running around.

Whew... we're glad birthdays are over til Oct.
I told Steve that he doesn't get a party this yr.
He wasn't too broken hearted, actually I think he was relieved.
