We had some very special visitors, in Jan and were able to go visit some pretty cool places too. Here is just a glimpse of the fun we had....Grandparents make everyday a holiday!!
We saw some amazing rockets and space ships when we visited the
space center in Cape Canaveral.
And my favorite place by far was visiting the winter estates of
Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!

We only spent 1 day seeing the exhibits and we really needed at least 1 more day. There was so much to take in. I was fascinated by everything, but the kids just liked the big rockets and space ships. It's so crazy to imagine anyone actually flying to the moon, and doing everything else we've done. We saw the first tiny little thing they sent into space that fit just one man. It was a little tin can, I'm sure he was rattled to death by the time he arrived back to earth. I would've been so claustrophobic, it was so small.
Here is the launching pad thingy, and the building where they store the big space ships. It was so tall and huge the picture doesn't do it justice.
Everything was so neat, I would definitely suggest visiting if you get the chance.

She has been walking for over a month now,
and seems to want to climb everything now.
We can't keep up with her....she is only 10 mo.!!
Cape canaveral looks way cool! We are going next month to see a shuttle launch and to check everything out. Good to know it is worth the drive!
ReplyDeletei am ashamed to say that after living here since i was 6, i still have not been to cape canaveral! BUT i have been to the edison estates and it could possibly be my favorite place on earth! i used to play the cello there during their special christmas tours, so i have lots of good memories. im so glad you enjoyed it too!

O my heavens, everytime I see one of your posts I want to come to Florida to the warmth and beauty! Do you kids fold laundry on a regular basis? Holy CoW! And as for your little button, what!!!?? Walking and climbing! Wowsers! You are just so cute and all those kids! Just brings me back to being a kid again!
