Our special girl Sydney was baptized in Jan. so we have had a great month of celebrating and entertaining guests...
Here is the beauty all in white ready for the big moment.
Family Photo
(not too bad for 7:30 am)
Steve baptized and confirmed Sydney
Just a little mommy daughter bonding...I really love this girl. She is such a joy.
Thanks to all who came and supported us and helped with the breakfast after.
We had a scrumptious breakfast of Fruit and Cream topped waffles and Egg Casserole.
IHOP has nothing over us!!
These are some of our dearest friends since Sydney was just iddy biddy. We met when Sydney was 1 1/2 and Abbie was barely 1. We have fond memories of Cedar City in a dumpy apartment complex, and this good family made it all worth it.
G-MA and G-PA
Thanks for coming to visit. Come again soon!!
We didn't get a photo of my parents
with the birthday girl. They rushed off to catch their cruise.
Lucky ducks!!
I can't believe our oldest is 8!! I really don't know where the time has gone. It has made me realize that time is so precious and every second counts. Sometimes I get so busy and frustrated and find myself wishing away the days; so I need a constant reminder that I will miss these days of poopy diapers, tantrums, constant singing and dancing through out the messy house. Steve and I have always looked back at life and decided that we will never be happy in the future unless we can be happy right where we are. I truly love being a mother and find joy in my children, I'm not always the best I can be, but I am definitely a work in progress. In the mean time I will try harder to find
Joy in my Journey.
I can't believe she is 8! I also can't believe you were all ready by 7:30 am and smiling! You have such a cute family and are such an amazing mom! Debbie and I were talking about you and your family yesterday and how your parents were always doing fun things with your family all the time and how your family was all really close and you all liked each other! I am sure it is still that way, but it looks like you are doing the very same thing with your family! Such great examples you are to all of us! Tell Trudy I said hello! We were in the same ward for a while in Orem. Does she have more than just one kid? I know she was sick her whole pregnancy for the first one and how hard that was for her. But that is awesome that she is in your ward now! Good to hear from you!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a wonderful morning!! I can totally relate that I too sometimes find myself counting down the hours to Sophie's bedtime! 'Joy in the Journey' - a very good motto to live by!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I can't believe you have an 8 year old!!! Sooo crazy! She is so beautiful (o:
ReplyDeleteWhat a special day, for such a beautiful little girl. I can't believe you have an 8 yr. old, and I can't believe I'm gonna have one this year. It's so crazy how fast the years fly bye. I can still remember being silly little girls, and now look we are all moms. CRAZY!
ReplyDeletekandie, you always inspire me to be a better person, and this post was no exception! sydney is such a sweet girl and im so glad we were able to be there on her special day. the song she and leah sang brought tears to my eyes, what amazing kids they are!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special day! Wish you guys were still around so our kids could play together! I can't believe how much your little Kaitlyn (is that how you spell it?) looks like your other kids. She just fits right in. Hope things are going great for you all. Oh by the way, Dallin got Sydney's letter and was very excited about it. He is working on writing her back. Enjoy that fabulous weather! It is too cold here! Take care.
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe you have an 8 year old either! Times goes by so quickly! Your hair looks so long and pretty! Must be all of that Florida Humidity and sunshine! Lucky! YOu have the prettiest girls and one handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteShe's 8, time flies, and crazy, but that's be us next year. What a fun day, you all look so great! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful girl Sydney is! Especially in her pretty white dress. It sounds like a pretty special day! You have such a wonderful and beautiful family!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is completely off the subject:) but it's freezing cold and snowing here right now. I can't even tell you how tempted we are to just skip town and fly to Florida! So soak up a little sun for us freezing folks in Nebraska:)
I can't believe your oldest is 8! Congratulations to her on being baptized, what a great experience for you guys as well. And Candice, I'm pretty sure you're one of the best Mom's I know, so don't be too hard on yourself for wishing away tantrums and poopy diapers. :)
