We are off!!!

We have officially moved, and are headed to our new place. It has been such a stressful week, and now life is catching up with me, and here I am sick as a dog. I just hope that I will be better by the time me and the kids fly out on Wed.

My hubby and my Dad drove off Friday night at 6 pm. They planned on driving straight through to Mississippi where my Brother and his family lives. They did an amazing job. They arrived Sat. night at 10:30 pm. That's almost 29 hours of driving with no sleep. CRAZY!! That first night they left (Friday) I couldn't sleep at all, just worrying about them. I even woke up and called at 3:30 am. Everytime I called they said they were just fine. I think they were good until the last 4-5 hours. Then they were pretty stir crazy.

Like I said they arrived at my brothers last night (Sat) around 10:30 pm and showered and went straight to bed. Today they got to go to church with them and spend a relaxing Sunday with my cute niece and nephews. Tomorrow they will start early and continue on to our new home.

We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives. My testimony of our Heavenly Father's guiding hand and intense love for his children has been strengthened through out the last couple of months. We are deeply blessed when we do what He has asked us to do; pay tithing, attend the temple, prayer, scripture study, family home evening, etc... I know that we will continue to grow and have many neat experiences while in our new place. The past couple of months I have had the impression that we will have some missionary experiences out there and I need to better prepare myself, I hope and pray that I will be able to listen to the promptings of the spirit and be led to help others as well as myself.

My hubby is excited to start school again, and just be a student. (he is tired of working while attending school) He really loves to learn and is a great student.

I need to thank all of the people who helped us in our move. This was by far one of my easiest moves because of all the help. Neighbors watching our kids, meals brought in from the ward, family and friends helping pack and clean, and so many prayers on our behalf. Thanks to all of you!! We couldn't have done it with out you.

Yesterday I figured out that this is my 16th time moving. I moved about 8 times with my parents, and this is our 8th move in 7 years of being married. Some of those moves were within the same city just a different house, but still, that is way too much. I think I am ready to settle down soon. There are so many amazing people we have met, I don't think I would have it any other way. I know we are where we are supposed to be.

  3. I, to, had to move a lot growing up. And then the early years married. Sometimes from a different house to another house in the same town. Crazy. Brie has lived many places. Mikele has lived in only 4- 5 if you count a move in town to another house. Good luck in Florida. Florida actually sounds like a good place. Stay away from the Hurricanes!! I hope you get feeling better.
