We now live in KANSAS,
and we love it!
I truly never thought I would ever say that.
(nor did I ever think I'd live in Florida)
Life is full of surprises!!
This is what we saw on our 17 hr drive home to Kansas. Hours and hours of nothing but flat farms. So different from what we are used to, but it has it's own unique sort of beauty, and we are so much more grateful for our food. Knowing it probably came from one of these farms. We are also so much more grateful for the rain. It has been an incredibly dry summer and our lawn and garden are all but dead, and we are praying so hard for rain. Silly, but hardly anyone puts in sprinkler systems out here, so we are left to watering manually. Something I always took for granted I guess, the water always magically came on in the night when we were all asleep and our grass was always lush and green. Well not out here!!
Tons of trains too!
Surprisingly it is incredibly humid here. Not near as bad as FL, but worse than I thought. I'm not sure why either, but before the summer hit, it was very lush and green.
This is a nature center we visited that ended up being closed, so we just walked along the trail outside.
April 2012
There were frogs and tadpoles galore in this cute little pond.
Of course on our way out we found yet another turtle. Steve has to pick them up no matter how many we find. It is so thrilling to him and the kids, not so much to me. It's funny!
They have good fishing here too, and now
Steve has plenty of time to take the kiddos out. They are loving it.
Especially Bryce boy!

So many cute pictures of B-man and I couldn't just pick one, or two.
I love his tuft of hair coming out the back of his hat.
I am in love with this kid!

World's Of Fun with Steve's work.
It's an amusement park, very similar to Lagoon in UT.
