Blueberries, Fishing and Fireflies!

BLUEBERRIES 

Blueberries grow in abundance here and we had the happy opportunity to go pick some fresh blueberries from a huge berry patch.  We had such a fun time, one of those amazing moments when you are so happy you get to be a stay at home mom, and feel so good about life.  Being out in the fresh air with happy kids, picking nutritious food is always a good combination.  

 Sydney and Leah were too cute, and were very serious in their picking.  

I had never seen a blueberry bush and didn't even know how they grew really, so it was so fun to see them and get to pick all we wanted.  I now want a blueberry patch! 

"Is this one good mom?" - the phrase I heard about 100 or more times that day. 

I was paying by the pound and didn't want to pay for any green, sour blueberries.  

We bought 6 pounds and then ate and ate until we were all stuffed with blueberries. YUM!

We enjoyed blueberry ice cream, pancakes, in our cereal, and several blueberry pies.

(they were our favorite, and so easy too)   

Fishing 

 My awesome and very happy fisherman! 

 Bryce is becoming a pro at fishing....he doesn't even try and he can out fish the girls. 

(They are quite small though) 

He definitely has the fishing bug just like Steve.........always on the brain.  

 I'm the crowd control on the fishing trips. Taking kids potty, drinks, entertaining the little ones when they are bored with fishing, making sure no one falls in.  We need to make an age limit for fishing because i'm getting burned out. 

 She wants to be so big and do just like the others.  

and FIREFLIES

These are fireflies in a jar.  Aren't they AWESOME!! 

I had never seen fireflies either, and it really was a dream come true.  They have always seemed so magical and they did not disappoint.  In May before it started getting too hot Steve would go out about 9:30pm and catch me a bunch to ooooh and ahhhh over.  It was fun.
