Happy 3rd Birthday!!

Yes, my poor 3 yr old was still in a crib on his b-day. He had no desire to ever get out. I think he felt very secure in there. That day we put together his "big boy bed" and since then he says he has scary dreams.... poor boy.

He did have a fabulous birthday though, and can I just say I LOVE LITTLE BOYS!! They are so fun and different than girls. Bryce has been such a joy to our family and we love all the boy things he says and does. He brings a such a unique spirit to our family and I wish I could just capture every moment so in 20 yrs I can remember that he used to love to kiss me, and tell me he loves me. He just melts my heart!!

His favorite breakfast is rice, milk and cinnamon and sugar, so that's what he got. He was extremely excited for his small gifts at breakfast: hand sanitizer, a pack of gum and a handy manny wallet. (he picked out the sanitizer and the gum at the store the day before.) The girls got some when they started school and he thought it was too cool to have his own. He did get other gifts, but he carried around that wallet, gum and hand sanitizer all day. It was funny!

His other birthday presents
For his birthday we picked up two of his little friends, Lahklyn and Jordan to play at the park with us. Sweet and simple. He felt special having just his friends get to come and it was easy on mom.
This is his "bestest friend" Lahklyn. Bryce will tell me this on a daily basis. We love that big cheeser.
Bryce's other friend Jordan and Leah.
What a handsome cowboy.
This is his cake with candles lit and the ghost eyes glowing. OOOooooo!! (You just put sugar cubes and something with alcohol in it, like rum extract in egg shells and light on fire.) The kids love it.
He is so simple to please. We love our little guy!!
Potty training here we come!!!

  4. What a fun cake!!! I love the eyes idea. We're going to have to do that one! I can't believe Bryce is three. Where did the time go? And I agree with you. Boys are definately something special! I was looking through your pics from your trip out here. How fun for all of you! How's your cranky baby. Is Katelyn still fussy? Does she only take a bottle? I have yet to try that with Livvy.
Thanks for always leaving such sweet comments on my blog. It's so great that we can keep in touch this way. You really are a super mommy! And, hey, you'll have to let me know if you like the new HP movie. I'm interested to see how it is and if I should take my kids to it...
