Well here we are again. Christmas is always a magical time, and this year more than ever I think I felt the true meaning of Christmas shine above the glitz and glam of shopping and opening presents. #1 because we had a very meager Christmas, since we just went to Disney, and #2 since Christmas landed on a Sunday I felt like we were truly thinking about the Saviors birth and not celebrating Santa. It was a pain to get ready for church so early, but overall I feel like Christmas should be on a Sunday every year and we should attend a church service every year. Because that is why we celebrate anyways right??? We had the primary sing which is always a crowd pleaser and some very good speakers. It was a nice meeting.
On Christmas Eve Steve worked, so we cleaned house the first half of the day, and then when he got off we headed for the pool, because it was a very warm day. After the pool we bathed kids and let them open their "one" present. This year I made the kids pajama pants and fleece blankets thinking we probably will be heading somewhere cold in 2 months. I got them a pair of summery ones too, but I had fun picking out the fabric for pants and blankets. I just bought some t-shirts to go with the pants.
We didn't take very many still shots of Christmas, a lot of video though.
Christmas morning we had a great time playing outside with all of the bikes, trikes and rollerblades. That was pretty much all they got, but they were excited.
Bryce's new bike....Wahooo!! He was having such a great time on that thing.
Cool story, so we bought him a bike on Black Friday, but 2 days before Christmas while visiting a friend I see this little bike out on the curb ready for the garbage man. So being the garbage digger that I am I asked the people if we could have it and they said yes, they were moving and had to get rid of a ton of stuff. So I grabbed it right then with all the kids in the car and took it home. My kids all talk about how I take other people's garbage, but man it saved us 50 bucks. It was in nearly perfect condition, and he loves it!!
This was a common sight to see on Christmas.... :) the girls were constantly falling, and of course I didn't even think to buy them knee pads or elbow pads, so now they both have some nasty bruises going on. But after 2 weeks they are much better and hardly ever fall. I love this pic so much of them hanging on to each other.
Bryce was not very happy with his new suit he had to wear to church. (He is crying if you can't tell) He likes it now, but he wasn't too sure about it then. Oh but doesn't he look soooo cute!!
All the kids got new Sunday outfits from Steve's Parents,
and they looked so cute, minus Bryce's sad face.
Three beautiful SISTERS... I hope they cherish each other someday.
The day after Christmas Steve had work off, (a Christmas Miracle really) so we all popped on over to the beach. It was the most beautiful peaceful day at the beach, low waves, nice cloud cover and lots and lots of birds for the kids to chase. The water is too cold to swim, so it made for a stress free day. We found lots of good shells for our christmas ornaments we will make for next year. We never want to forget our beloved beach and time in FL. I wasn't very good with the camera this season and have no pictures to show, but we had fun anyway.
Glad to see i wasn't the only who didnt take many pics!
